Meghan Martinez is the Godwin School 2026 Teacher of the Year. Meghan has been teaching at Godwin School for the past 17 years. She started as the 1st/2nd grade looping teacher which was a collaborative position with the Hearing Impaired Program. When that program dissolved, Meghan stayed as a 1st grade teacher. Her extensive knowledge of the primary curriculum and how children learn, makes her an asset in this role. Meghan's classroom is a dynamic learning environment. She utilizes small group instruction to meet every child's individual needs. She uses a multisensory approach engaging learners through various modalities. She is also a strong advocate for social emotional learning and helping children navigate social situations.

For all of these reasons and many more, Meghan Martinez is our Teacher of the Year!
