Summer is a time to relax and reset from a rigorous school year, but it is also a time to keep your skills fresh. We have created reading and math assignments for every grade level. We hope your child finds time to engage in reading, writing and math. This school year, we will be promoting less screen time and more hands-on, interactive, and cooperative learning. Help us start this trend at home with less screen time and more activities, i.e., crafts, games, outdoor, and imaginary play. Children practice a variety of skills when utilizing these types of real world activities.

Every current K-2 child received a physical hard copy of the reading and math packet. The math packets were designed as a review of the skills and concepts learned this year. The reading packets give your child the freedom to choose the books they want to read. A large part of getting children to read is to find what they love and let them enjoy it. Below is a link to the packets as well and extras are available in the Main Office.

Both of these packets are strongly recommended and can be submitted to the classroom teacher in September. The Summer Reading Stars Program can be submitted to Midland Park Library.

Thank you for partnering with us to prevent the summer slide and prepare students for September.
