Godwin students recently had the opportunity to participate in an Amazing Assembly featuring Greg Bennick, who delivered a powerful and memorable message about the importance of kindness. Through incredible juggling and balancing feats, Greg demonstrated that while some things may seem impossible, kindness is something everyone can do.

Greg reminded students that kindness is simple, it is possible, and it doesn't cost anything. Small acts of kindness can make a big difference when we practice them every day. Smiling at someone, picking something up off the ground, holding the door, helping a student who is lost, or simply saying something kind are all ways we can make our school and community a better place.

As Greg amazed students by balancing a chair on his chin, juggling five balls and tossing them into a net behind him, juggling three different objects, and even riding a unicycle while juggling, he connected each accomplishment to an important life lesson: we can do difficult things when we practice, work together, and believe in ourselves.

His five juggling balls carried five important messages:

Be Kind • Say Yes • It's Up to You • Teamwork • Practice

Greg also reminded students that kindness begins with being kind to yourself. We all make mistakes, face challenges, and have things we are still learning to do. Giving ourselves patience and encouragement is just as important as showing kindness to others.

Following the Amazing Assembly, Greg visited classrooms throughout the school to reinforce his message and give students additional opportunities to talk about what kindness looks like in their everyday lives.

At Godwin, we believe that kindness isn't just something we talk about—it is something we practice every single day. Small acts of kindness add up, and each of us has the power to make a difference.
